Meet the Youth Leader
David Wiles
David Wiles grew up in the Caribbean as a child of missionaries. He returned to the United States in 2018 and began attending Smithfield Assembly of God. He quickly joined the worship team and continues to use his musical gifts. Additionally, he and his classmate Sarah established and continue to lead the young adult ministry at Smithfield Assembly. In 2022, David He earned a Bachelor’s in Theology from Life Christian University, became the youth leader of The Next Chapter Student Ministry, and married his Latina bride Melissa. David is a gifted visual artist. When he is not creating, he enjoys visiting with friends – especially if there is food. When asked if he had a favorite food, David replied, “Nope! I’m pretty fond of all food!”
The Next Chapter was founded on the principle laid out in the book of Acts: that we are the chosen "next chapter" of God's story here on this Earth. If the book of Acts had an additional chapter it would be 29. We are that next chapter in God's ministry, and we strive to instill that calling and the respect and honor that comes alongside it into our students.
SERVICE TIMES
Wednesday's Doors Open @ 6
Our regularly scheduled gathering times are exclusively Wednesday evenings. We open the doors at 6pm weekly to give the students an opportunity to socialize, play games, ect. And at approximately 6:45 we begin our service which generally includes a time of intimate worship and a relevant message or Bible teaching. Periodically, we have special events and activities that may be held on different days. Those times would be announced on our social media platforms and announced regularly during our regular meetings on Wednesday nights.
